Nice jewelry box but needs tweaking By MES
The jewelry box design is very efficient for its size. The only improvement I would suggest would be a light-weight snap-close cover for the hanging necklace/bracelet side. As it is now, when the box is opened, the long items flop onto the rings and pull one or two out of their section and get tangled. The reason the box is shown standing on end is that opening the box in that orientation is the only way to avoid tangling the necklaces, etc.. Since I rest the box on its side, I have to be conscious of re-orienting it before opening. I still like the box and the basic design and am amazed about how much it holds given its size.Nice and Light-a little too FAUX By LGV
This happens to be a very nice jewelry box-I work with vintage pieces and wanted a quick light weight box to travel back and forth form my office with...and use for showing friends/ client with out using my larger travel bag. So in theory it works very nicely! The interior is actually VERY nice-great compartments- inside is terrific. Necklaces can get tangled if you hang too many thin ones form the straps as the other reviews mention and I do agree with that-you must open it vertically which the box doesn't seem to naturally do. SO it does need tweaking there-plus the faux crocodile is nice-but a bit too shiny and comes off a little "cheap" that way. Had I seen it in the store I would not have paid close to $50 for it. Attractive. A little larger than I was looking for but will serve well for travel. Does lay flat on bottom of carryon suitcase.
