This guitar isn't too big, it's got sterling silver backing that makes it feel like a very stable piece (meaning it doesn't appear like it will fall apart ... ever). The diamond cut or crystal fret bar/guitar neck is not gawdy, has just the right amount of shine to look good as an everyday piece or a little black dress accessory or just a nice Musician's accessory. I put mine on a different chain, but the one it comes on is nice as it is made so you can adjust from 16" to 18" with a secure hold. Since I wear my practically every day, I put it on a heavier chain. The chain it comes on is nice when wearing this as your accent piece with a nice dress, it's more feminine looking on that chain. I like it both ways --- a very nice accessory.
